Origins
Down the foothills of the Western Ghats, where cold descending winds from the peaks gain its mighty gale force to power large wind turbines, the tall slender trees covering the slope sway their thick coconut fronds in that heaving sound of nature's symphony.
In that salubrious harmony, fresh ripened coconuts are harvested and de-husked after a few days to get the sweet brown copra. The moisture-laden copra is then naturally dried in our solar shed for a week, adhering strictly to the traditional methods — unlike the cost-effective ways of the commercial mills that spray toxic sulphur to extract the oil on the very next day. The sulphur does narrow the wait time from a week to a day, yet it is detrimental for your health when absorbed by your skin.
The naturally dried copra over a week long process - organic and without sulphur elements - are then taken to the 25 kg traditional stone mill, where the vaigai wood, powered by the humanely-raised kangeyam bulls, grind the sweet tender copra at a slow RPM of just 2 rotations per minute (moving just twice the circumference of the stone mill, per minute). After 2 hours — slow and unhurried in process without generating any heat or friction, the copra gets churned between the stone and vaigai wood to give a nutrient-rich, stone-pressed, coconut baby oil.
Made in the slow time-honored traditional way of our ancestors, with meticulous care and patience, so that your newborn infant and your loved ones get the best of nature - in its clean, purest form.
