Our Story

 

Tribal Sangha is the story of our people — a community that once lived on sacred, completely isolated tribal lands, deep within the forests of the Western Ghats and the secluded alpine valleys of the Himalayas.

 

As exchanges of forest produce with the common folk grew more frequent over time, a few among our community forefathers chose to venture further, settling on the outskirts of hill towns and thriving valleys. With them, they brought not simply trade, but a rare and closely guarded tribal craft: the art of distilling essential oils using time-honoured traditional methods, passed down and perfected over generations deep within the forest valleys.

 

These oils, drawn from the ancient wisdom of their tribal ancestors and from untouched natural forest resources, were unlike anything the common folk had experienced before. Over time, this craft grew into their livelihood and became the very thread of their identity.

 

Today, we carry forward the same art of tribal distillation amidst the forests and valleys where it was first born.
