  • skin soothing

My elder sister started having papules on her face, and unlike acne, it would just stay there even after days. It just wouldn't go. So, I brought her this oil and she didn't have to try anything else... She loves it and keeps using it regularly now as her bed-time ritual, even after the papules are gone 😊

  • peeling skin from sun-burn

My arms were sunburnt during a day ride through Ooty. With no sunscreen under the harsh sunlight, my right arm was left dry, rough and covered with peeling skin. After applying this turmeric oil with aloe gel for a few days, my skin felt smoother, calmer and visibly restored.... Amazing 👍

  • anti-dandruff

A week in the monsoon rains of Munnar in Kerala, left my scalp dry, flaky and troubled with dandruff after the trip. I read about their essential oils and bought them... I am thankful to Sangha for valuing my trust as a customer.🫰❤️ Recommended!

our entire being — steeped in the cultivation of aromatic and medicinal crops in our sangha farm; in harvesting it alongside our own people; in the slow art of our distillation method; and in offering nature's truest essence to you — is like dwelling forever within the sphere of divinity.

For us, there is no greater bliss.

The BEGINNINGS

Our Story

Our ancestors once lived on sacred, completely isolated tribal lands — deep within the forests of the Western Ghats and the alpine valleys of the Himalayas.

A few among our community forefathers chose to venture further and settled on the outskirts — carrying with them not simply trade, but a rare and closely guarded craft: the art of distilling essential oils, refined over generations deep within the forest.

And this is where our story begins... :)

Our Tribal

Sangha

''Sangha'' means community in Sanskrit.

Ours spans the Himalayas and the Western Ghats — bound not by geography, but by a shared inheritance and the counsel of elders who kept this craft alive through its most difficult years.

When commercial giants threatened to extinguish our ancient livelihood with their synthetic and lab-made fragrance oils in the markets, we chose to gather rather than scatter. This is what we chose to build instead.

Keeping the roots of this craft firmly in the ground.

Our Organic

Cultivation

Before a single drop of essential oil is drawn, the land itself must be cared and nurtured.

Fields enriched with organic compost, soil turned by native-bred cattle, seeds sown and watched over day and night — a slow, time-consuming vigil for three to six months.

The oil begins long before the still is lit. It begins in the soil of our Sangha farms.

All without any pesticides, chemicals or urea.

Our Forefather's

Ancient Craft

Our traditional tribal distillation moves through the four elements — earth, air, fire, and water. Fresh plant material slowly steam-distilled with mountain water, heated by dry firewood beneath a mud furnace, until the cool air carries the final essence upward. From 500 kilograms of plant, what emerges is no more than two to three liters of pure essential oil.

The wait, every time, is worth it.

Our Commitments to

Transparency

Every batch of our traditionally distilled essential oils is sent for Gas Chromatography testing to the CSIR-CIMAP, Hyderabad — a government research institution that answers to no commercial interest. Every natural compound is identified. Every constituent is accounted for as it is. No adjustments. No omissions. A plain, factual scientific record of our essential oil.

The full report is published alongside every oil we offer.
